Rydes Hill win 7 medals at the Prior’s Field interschool Gymnastics Festival
On Wednesday the 29th November 2023, we took a team of 10 girls to enter the Prior’s Field Gymnastics Festival which saw over 100 children from 9 schools compete (participating schools were; Claremont Fan Court, Danes Hill, Falcon Prep, Guildford High, High Field, Prior’s Field, Prospect House, Rydes Hill and St Catherine’s).
In the Under 10 and Under 12 age groups there were 3 competition levels, beginner, intermediate and elite, and in each category the gymnasts had to perform a set floor routine and a series of vaults.
The competition was tough, especially as there were some year 7 girls competing in the under 12 group, however, our girls remained unfazed. Our team’s composure paid off, when the results were announced, we were delighted to have been placed with 7 medals – 4 gold and 3 silver!

2nd Place – U10 Vault
1st Place – U12 Beginner Floor
2nd Place – U12 Intermediate Floor
1st Place – U12 Elite Floor
1st Place – U12 Vault
We are so incredibly proud of all our gymnasts who not only performed brilliantly, but also represented Rydes Hill beautifully.
