Rydes Hill reviews

Rydes Hill reviews

Our staff, pupils and families have wonderfully positive things to say about our school, but what do impartial third parties have to say about us? We have been reviewed by a number of independent organisations, including the Good Schools Guide and Muddy Stilettos, along with the more formal ISI Inspection Report conducted in November 2024.

ISI Inspection - November 2024

The ISI (Independent Schools Inspectorate) is appointed by the Department of Education to inspect association independent schools in England. Our last inspection took place in November 2024. We were delighted with the report, with all required standards successfully met. A few observations included:

  1. Rydes Hill is characterised by its three ambitions of thinking deeply, living wisely and loving generously. Pupils are successfully equipped with the necessary skills, knowledge, confidence and understanding to embrace challenges and showcase their talents.
  2. Teachers expectations are aspirational and their lessons are well-considered to challenge pupils while providing appropriate support whenever necessary.
  3. Pupils are excited by their learning and keen to learn more. They apply effort, act responsible and make good progress. They successfully gain entry to a range of secondary school, frequently achieving scholarships.
  4. Leaders maintain scrupulous oversight of the daily running of the school. They have a diligent and comprehensive approach to school evaluation and development.
  5. The school is a harmonious community with pupils treating each other kindly and courteously, always showing knowledge of and respect for people’s differences.

The Good Schools Guide is famed for providing thorough, impartial and candid reviews of schools based on their personal visits, analysis of academic performance and interviews with headteachers, teachers, pupils and parents. We are extremely proud to have been included in the Good Schools Guide for the first time in 2021. There are over 30,000 schools in the country and only 1,300 schools are invited to join the Good Schools Guide. Membership is by invitation only, schools cannot pay to be included. Below is a taster of what they had to say about Rydes Hill, along with the full review.
